Which Pet Insurance is best for my dog?
Everyone's situations are different and no two dogs were created equal, so dog owners need to weigh up the different features and options when choosing a dog insurance policy.
Our basic level of dog insurance, Accident Protect, covers 75% of your dog's Vet bills if he or she suffers an accidental injury. For a lot of people this level of cover is enough because they know that if something unfortunate happens to their dog—such as a car accident or a fall—that results in an injury requiring medical treatment, they won't get hit with a huge Vet bill to pay.
When you take out any pet insurance policy with 1300 Insurance, all you have to pay is 25% of your Vet bills with no minimal claim amount, so there's $0 excess payable when you make a claim.
Our best level of insurance for dogs is Comprehensive Protect. This plan offers all the benefits of Accident Protect but also covers your dog if they suffer from an illness that can't be vaccinated against, such as cancer.
In addition to covering most of your vet bills resulting from accidental injury or illness, dog owners who take out Comprehensive Protect have the option to choose a 'Routine Care' addition to their policy. This is perfect for the most pampered pooch in that it gives the dog owner an extra $165 per year to spend on routine care items that are essential to your pet's health such as vaccinations and worming.

The fine print: There are some limits. We won't pay for your vet bills for conditions that were present before you took out a policy.
