Can I get Pet Insurance if my pets are already old?
Yes, we have a pet plan option for a dog or cat of any age, but your pet must be less than 9 to qualify for our Comprehensive Pet Insurance plan. Once insured will continue to offer to insure your pet for the rest of its life and will not reduce its cover as it ages. This is great news for pet owners.
If your dog or cat is less than 9 and you haven't taken out any pet insurance yet, then you really shouldn't wait any longer if you want to qualify for Comprehensive Pet Insurance.
1300 Pet Insurance offers insurance that covers 75% of your Vet bills (up to a maximum of $15,000 per year), with $0 excess.
If your dog or cat is under 9 years old, you can apply for either Accident Protect—which only covers your pet against injuries—or Comprehensive Protect, which protects your pet against injuries and illnesses.
